The Easiest Genderfluid Uniform
Jersey + Maxi Skirt =
GENDERFLUID EUPHORIA
It’s easy, it’s versatile, it’s thrifty, and it balances the genders without fussing too much about sizing.
One of my favorite designers, Martine Rose, sent this look down the runway and I was like “Hey… I can do that.”
And that is the appeal of her designs. There is a relatable entry point in her collections where you can feel like you can be (or already have been) a part of her world.
It’s like a chilled out version of “blokette,” which tickles my brain. Talk about juxtaposition, hon hon. Which is best described by this article “Blokette: The Newest Aesthetic Explained” from ENFTS TERRIBLES: “Blokette” is a style where you combine hyper-feminine pieces such as ribbons and miniskirts with typical masculine items like football shirts.
The play on jerseys remind of UNIF when they had cheeky jerseys alluding to the devil or partying. There’s just something about taking items that are more “masculine” and “made for boys” and poking fun at it that excites me - like SYRO making baseball cunt with limited edition baseball and mitt boots, playing with the ideas of pitcher vs. catcher.

I ran with this uniform on Beyonce’s Birthday, where the queen ruled her guests to wear silver. I wore my grey FUBU Jersey and this old Fashion Nova Starry Skirt saved just for music festival season.
I styled a bunch of other looks with this uniform base while dipping into other aesthetics like moto and western. It is just that easy to put together.
