Lubricate Intentionally - with maude
I first discovered maude trying their “shine organic aloe lube”, surprised that someone was leading innovations in the sex toy and lube sectors. I was devoted to my bottle of Gun Oil, but aloe??? That’s obviously a skincare ingredient. And their toys look like minimalist home decor. I honestly wouldn’t be mad at the forest green butt plugs placed on a corner table for Christmas.
Since then, I have worked with maude on content and product reviews and I learned how difficult it could be to shift the perspective on pleasure. I’ve had posts suddenly removed when trying to talk about lube even without the more graphic language. It’s no wonder some things require the Gwyneth Paltrow “GOOP-ification” in order to be marketed or else those Facebook ads go down.
It’s more than sex and pleasure, it’s health and wellness. And it works! Sephora has a new product category, “Intimate Care”, and you can pick up lube refills and vibrators along with your makeup haul. Even SSENSE, has a similar category.
Anyways, I wanted to provide my personal guide to their line up of lubricants because I have been using them for years now and found certain lubes are best for certain use cases!

I get it. Sometimes you knock out right after a session before bed. But some lubes get gunky and need to be washed off. But this sort of sinks into the skin and actually feels nourishing.
It comes in 3 sizes and the 2oz great to have in your bag, 4oz for the night stand, and 8oz to refill the 2 and 4 oz.

It increases friction and therefore sensitivity - so slow down!

Reapplication is less neessary compared to shine aloe and other water based formulas. However, this is to be expected with silicone lubes. I find this best to douche with if your tools are silicone friendly. I don’t find this as innovative as the shine aloe based, but it still feels and works as any other silicone lube should!

I find the silicone diminishes friction and gives more cushion probably due to its density. This can help you last longer.

It really warms up! It can enhance the feeling of typically cold masturbators.
It may be worrisome with a partner so try at both your own risk!
I have tried this with vibrators and plugs and it gives me that familiar spicy feeling that I don’t love.

It’s recommended to mix this up with shine organic to spice it up! It’s very similar in feel. Perhaps that reduces the heat.

The site recommends to patch test to make sure it’s compatible with your skin.
“This product is not recommended to those prone to herpes outbreaks, yeast infections, or bacterial vaginosis.”
